We are all adjusting pretty well to having a baby at home. Lenah is a very good baby during the day and just cries when she needs something, she is awake a fair amount I think, usually most of the morning and part of the evening with short periods in between. But then theres the nights.... She has been up every 2 hours at least, most nights this week. So last night we decided to give her carseat a try. It kinda worked, she slept 3 hours at a time! she's kinda a "vertical baby" so i think she likes that better than laying so flat in her bassinet. We hate to get her used to that, but mom and dad are exhausted! :) Hopefully it wont be too tough of a habit to break.
I havent really been out a whole lot yet, we had a few Dr appt this past week & we went to mom & dad Dewitts for dinner weds night. Im starting to get a little stir crazy, anxious for some normalcy back, and to put on real clothes, no more workout capris!!! :) Its just not like us to sit at home, but it'll come soon enough. I am feeling really good, my incision is much better and it doesnt really hurt anymore, I just have to take it somewhat easy, no walks or anything, but Im getting anxious to take Lenah on her first walk!!! It'll be so much fun! We go outside daily, and she loves it! If she doesnt fall asleep she is just content hangin out.
Lenah had another Dr appointment this week Thursday. It went really good. She weighs 6 lbs already!!!! She gained 10 oz. since last week, but Im not too surprised the way she's been eating! She went down to 5lb 3 oz before she left the hospital, so she's gained almost a lb in less than 2 weeks! She also grew, she was 18 in. when she was born, but is now 18 3/4. Her umbilical cord fell off weds night which is nice! Much easier to bathe her now. But all in all the Dr. said that she looked beautiful!
well, thats all for now!
